Avadavat Earrings by Beadsmagic - Free Pattern Review

How fun are these pearly earrings by Beadsmagic? Not much to say about this lovely pattern, it’s simple, it comes together quickly (less than 15 minutes for the pair!) and it’s very easy to wear because it’s minimalistic and timeless.

The only reason I only have one pair to show you is because for me, the gold and white colour-way is perfection.

Avadavat Earrings Supplies

The pattern asks for 11/0 seed beads, and 5 and 6mm round beads, but you can really use any size round beads, and you could probably use different shapes like bicones or rondelles since there’s plenty of room between the beads.

My pair uses painted glass pearls (6mm and 8mm) with gold seed beads. I used Beadalon Supplemax monofilament illusion cord 0.25mm and a collapsible eye needle, but your favourite fishing line thread and needle would work too.

What I love about the Avadavat Earrings:

-          It’s quick to make

-          It doesn’t use a lot of beads, so it’s great for finishing a stash

-          You can get use different shapes and sizes than the pattern asks for.

-          The end result is elegant, timeless, and appropriate for both casual and occasion wear.

What I would change about the Avadavat Earrings:

Honestly nothing.

(That’s a lie, I did use different size beads because I don’t keep 5mm beads on hand, but that doesn’t count.)

Go make yourself a pair!
